Bookshops
Mr. B’s Emporium, Bath
Mr B's is a beautiful, energetic and innovative bookshop on John Street in the heart of Bath. It's a bright labyrinthine space where book-related chatter and advice seems ever-present. They opened the shop in 2006 and it has twice been named the UK's best independent bookshop. In 2015 the Guardian named Mr B's one of the ten best bookshops in the world.
If you visit, please ask for Laura and Hannah (Victoria and Henrietta are huge fans), they specialise in children's literature and have been incredibly helpful in the past!
Heron Books, Bristol
Heron Books, Clifton’s only independent bookshop, can be found in the historic Clifton Arcade on Boyce’s Avenue.
The shop stocks a range of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, 4000 of them in a carefully planned cosy space. Heron Books offers personal recommendations and the creation of bespoke gift lists for special occasions, and plans to run events and book groups. The shop is a welcoming space and have an excellent understanding of children’s literature.
This shop is one of Henrietta’s go-to places, as she lives in the heart of Bristol.

The Parent Practice
The Parent Practice offer a range of products from easy online parenting courses for time poor parents, to parenting webinars, and bespoke Parent Coaching to create more harmony at home and happy, calm, confident children.
It was founded by Elaine Halligan, a positive parenting coach, author and speaker, with the goal of offering pragmatic tools and skills that parents can implement in order to create more harmony at home. Being a parent herself, Elaine has experienced the journey of parenthood and the pitfalls and problems it can bring. It is now her mission to create a happier future generation by sharing parenting strategies that will have an authentic impact, transforming challenging children into confident and contented children with her personal style and a positive approach.
When working as a Headmistress in London, Victoria asked Elaine to present a number of workshops for parents at the school, especially around routines at home and managing difficult behaviour. She has incredible knowledge and is very much a go-to person for families and schools looking for support in the London area.
The Parent Collaborative
The Parent Collaborative are a Parenting Consultancy based in Bath. As experienced Early Years educators, they saw that there was a lack of support for families going through a tough time with their children.
The Parent Collaborative was launched in order to help parents find ways through the maze of parenting young children.
They provide 1-1 lessons for parents and organise practical workshops and courses, their end goal is supporting parents to support their children.
Reb, the co-founder is incredibly approachable and kind. She has a wealth of knowledge and has created a special and safe space to meet families, right in the centre of Bath.
Victoria and Reb, both enjoy meeting for a cappuccino from time to time!
The Little Education House
The Little Education House was founded by Alice and Rebecca. With 20 years of combined experience in education and leadership, Alice and Rebecca have a wealth of knowledge about children’s development and learning. Both have experience working in Senior Leadership positions.
Rebecca has led a private Nursery School and Alice is Head of an independent Pre-Prep School in Berkshire. They aim to make the milestones that parents and their children naturally encounter, smooth and successful.
At The Little Education House, Alice and Rebecca want parents to feel confident that they can make a positive difference in areas where their children need a little extra support. They create bespoke packages of support for families.
Rebecca and Victoria worked together in Central London and have kept in touch ever since!

Pangbourne House Nursery Montessori School
Fia Russell-Cobb, launched Pangbourne House in 2015 after 30 years of Educational Leadership.
Pangbourne House is a very special Nursery School indeed, the quality of care and education that the team offer is exceptional. Victoria loves to visit and especially appreciates all of the details and special touches. Pangbourne House is designed to feel as much like home as possible, the atmosphere is warm and comforting. There is a stunning art space for little ones and a well designed, accessible garden for learning and play.
There is a hall for parents to rent out for parties too!
Victoria and Fia have known each other for many years and share a similar educational philosophy.
Ladbroke Square Montessori Nursery
Since the 1940’s Ladbroke Square has built its reputation on providing a happy, supportive, nurturing and successful learning environment. It is situated around a garden square in London.
Led by Lucy Morley, the school aims to provide children with strong learning foundations that will support their future education and personal development into adulthood. Their well-qualified and inspiring teachers seek to nurture the unique qualities in each child and foster a love of learning and life. They provide support and encouragement to both children and parents.
The Little Lessons Team are huge fans of Lucy, Vanessa and the wider team. The Ladbroke Square instagram account is fantastic and full of inspiring ideas!

Tallulah Tables
Tallulah Tables is a fantastic company ran by mother-and-daughter-duo Amber and Julie Hamilton. With their wonderful creations they are take the hassle out of hosting with the best dressed tables - they create fantastic decorations for children’s parties as well!
While having plenty of their own ideas, they will also happily discuss your bespoke table setting and ideas to make your perfect party dream become a reality.
Julie and Amber are an incredibly stylish mother and daughter team. We at Little Lessons are huge fans of their work!
